FedEx was looking to improve its broadcast infrastructure that would help produce new programming including HD formats and build a unified media asset management system (MAM). The new MAM will be used as a central source for broadcast and communications including the regular training and program-scheduled play out to the global FedEx enterprise. Given the industry transition to IT/IP technology, FedEx is looking to integrate a solution that works well with the current installed systems and will effectively integrate with the existing FedEx IT systems and enterprise infrastructure
Cinegy was a natural fit for the rigourous database requirements that FEDEX needed. While interfacing to their various systems to include the Quantel edit systems, Adobe Premier systems, and various other databases. Cinegy was able to work with these. Fedex also has four (4) outbound teaching channels that are all self produced as well as their commercials, all of this is done in their facility
